Ab-Soul is back with a “Threatening Nature.”

The Top Dawg MC has announced that his fourth studio album DWTW will be dropping on Dec. 9 and to prep fans for it, he also revealed the cover art and unleashed a new cut.

“Threatening Nature” makes reference to its muse, Ras Kass’ classic Soul on Ice single “Nature of the Threat.” Over haunting church bells and potent drums, Soul criticizes American history and sexism.

“Way back when I was in grade school, I learned about history, but what about her story? Did anybody ask?” he raps. “With all disrespect, I think the American flag was designed by f*gs.”

This continues throughout the track as Black Lip Pastor criticizes Christianity as well. “We don’t speak about sexism as much as we really should,” he adds. “The black man could vote before the woman could / You singing hymns in church, I’m looking for hers / In 66 books in The Bible, they ain’t let a lady say one word.”

Currently, it’s unclear what DWTW stands for. Its cover art, however, has been revealed and features a black-and-white portrait of Soul, hands holding his head, as he stares into the camera without his trademark shades.

Prior to dropping “Threatening Nature,” Ab also previewed the album by releasing the Bas-assisted “Braille” and “Huey Knew” featuring Da$h.

DWTW, the follow-up to 2014’s These Days…, is set to drop Dec. 9.
