Kanye West may be in the hospital, but that doesn’t mean he’s taking time off.

According to sources, West has been working from his hospital bed. However, his wife Kim Kardashian is focused on his recovery and is trying to keep Yeezy from tending to work issues while on the mend at L.A.’s Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center.

“At the hospital, he requested that recording equipment be brought to the hospital so he can record in his bed,” an insider told Us Weekly. “And he has kept asking to see sketches of his fashion lines. He continues to want to work and Kim has to keep telling him to rest.”

Prior to his hospitalization, West and Kardashian were going through a rough patch. A separate Us report claims the two were constantly arguing. “He would be up all night ranting about things,” said a source. “They were fighting because he was impossible to live with.”

Despite this, Kardashian has reportedly been by ‘Ye’s side since he was hospitalized. “Kanye’s behavior took a huge toll on their marriage,” added the source. “But Kim feels relieved he is getting the help he needs. She thinks this is what it will take to save him — and help their marriage.”

West was taken to the medical center on Monday (Nov. 21) due to exhaustion and dehydration. He has also reportedly been struggling with depression and paranoia for months. Now, sources are calling the events leading up to his hospitalization, including controversial concert rants, a “nervous breakdown” spurred by the ninth anniversary of his mother’s death, according to TMZ.

Insiders claim West has had trouble every year around this month since his mother’s passing and this year’s anniversary was particularly tough for the Life of Pablo star. Nov. 20, the same day West cancelled a Los Angeles show, was also the date of his mother Donda West’s funeral. On Nov. 21, the remaining “Saint Pablo Tour” dates were nixed. On top of this, Kardashian’s Paris robbery has reportedly caused more family-related strife during this already difficult time.

West was set to be released from the hospital this week, but doctors have opted to keep him at the medical center for further treatment. Currently, it is unclear when he will be able to go home.
