Drake and Kanye West are up to somethin’. The superstar duo has been teasing its forthcoming joint project for quite some time and it looks like fans may get something sooner than later.
On Monday (Nov. 7), Drizzy posted a flick of himself next to Yeezy with a cryptic caption: “There goes the neighborhood.”
But perhaps even more telling was a comment left by Kanye’s manager, Scooter Braun. “It begins…” he wrote, adding four clapping emojis.
If anyone would know about the secret project, it would be Braun. Mr. West hired the famed manager, who’s worked with Justin Bieber and Ariana Grande, back in March.
A Drizzy-Yeezy album has been teased since as far back as February, when Kanye revealed that it was originally meant to be called Wolves. Since then, the duo has teased it onstage and on billboards throughout L.A.
In September, Kanye confirmed the news. “We’re just working on music, working on a bunch of music together, just having fun going into the studio,” he said. “We’re working on an album, so there’s some exciting things coming up soon.”
On the solo end, Kanye promised three albums by year’s end and so far has only released one, The Life of Pablo. Meanwhile, Drake dropped Views and is prepping his More Life playlist for December.
