Alicia Keys brought out her superstar friends at Keep a Child Alive’s 13th annual Black Ball on Wednesday (Oct. 19) at the Hammerstein Ballroom in New York City.
Keys, A$AP Rocky, Chance the Rapper, Salt-N-Pepa, and Patti Smith were among the performers at the benefit concert, which was put on to raise funds and awareness for the fight against AIDS.
“When it first started in 2004 it really showed me a whole new world, bigger than the world that I knew,” Keys, who co-founded KCA, told Variety. “I just knew that if everyone could see what I saw they would also feel moved to want to change it.”
Keys joined others on stage, including Lil Chano. The two dueted on his Coloring Book single “Blessings.”
“This is so surreal,” said Chance. “This is probably the most important thing that I’ve done in a while.”

Alicia also brought out A$AP Rocky to perform their “Blended Family” collaboration together for the first time. In a brief video, the two joked about Keys kidnapping Flacko for the performance.

Clive Davis was also honored with the Humanitarian Award for all he’s done to draw attention to AIDS throughout the years. “Just let me say how touched I am,” he said. “So very personally touched, Alicia, to accept this wonderful honor from you tonight.”
Keys’ husband Swizz Beatz was also involved. He DJed the after-party, which was attended by Angie Martinez, Naturi Naughton, and Russell Simmons.
