Logic’s AfricAryaN is on the way.
During a live-streamed episode of Dan Harmon’s podcast on Sunday (Oct. 2), the Visionary MC revealed that his next LP will be titled AfricAryaN, confirming the spelling in a since-deleted tweet.
The episode’s audio has not been released, but fan Twitter account @LinesOfLogic summarized the episode, noting that “apparently the concept is based on the fact that humanity stemmed from Africa and has to do with humans going from black to white.”
In April, Logic revealed unreleased lyrics set to appear on his next album during an interview with Rolling Stone. In hindsight, the rhymes seem to be connected to the new album’s title.
“I feel the Aryan in my blood is scarier than a Blood,” he rhymes in the clip. “Been lookin’ for holy water, now I’m prayin’ for a flood / It feel like time passin’ me by slower than a slug.
“But my beautiful black brothers wanna act like I’m adopted,” he continues. “Go back in time to when my ni**a daddy impregnated my cracker momma and stopped it / Somebody pinch me / Black man screaming, trying to convince me / I’m not black so why the white man wanna lynch me?”
In June, Logic released his surprise mixtape Bobby Tarantino to hold fans over before his third album’s release.
AfricAryaN — the follow-up to 2014’s Under Pressure and last year’s The Incredible True Story — is due next year.
