Post Malone is still tinkering with his debut album Stoney.
During a new interview with Real 92.3, White Iverson revealed why he’s not done with the long-delayed effort just yet.
“We’re just figuring things out,” he said. “I think we’re making a sound that’s super fresh, hip, original, very fly. You can hip-hop to it, you can crunk to it, you can really just get down to it. It’s all just super lit.”
So far, the album boasts a star-studded guest list, including appearances by Justin Bieber, Kehlani, Quavo, and Skateboard P.
“We’re working on some very special things,” he added. You know we got Pharrell on there. We’re doing some cool stuff.”
According to Posty, Kanye West may also appear on the album following their “Fade” collaboration and the LP will likely include production from Metro Boomin.
Earlier this month, Malone unleashed the album’s newest single, “Deja Vu” featuring his “Purpose” tourmate Justin Bieber.
Originally slated for Aug. 26, Stoney currently has no release date. When the project was pushed back in August, Malone apologized to fans.
“I know everyone is mad at me right now,” he said at the time. “I’d be mad too. Due to a couple of different issues, my album couldn’t be finishing on the date I promised. I’m disappointed in myself and my whole team.”
