Mac Miller and Kendrick Lamar link up.
The Pittsburgh to Compton connection shines on “God Is Fair, Sexy Nasty,” a standout that appears on Mac’s freshly-released album The Divine Feminine.
“I need to feel your touch,” Miller rhymes. “You shy, you don’t reveal too much / No lies, don’t hide yourself at all / With you, I just can’t help but fall.”
Meanwhile, Cornrow Kenny handles the track’s melodic chorus. “Don’t you know your body been mine?” he asks. “I know you know I know / Sexy, nasty, have no guideline / One day, four times.”
Mac told Beats 1 why he loves this collaboration. “It’s such a feeling and a journey that’s why I love that record,” he said. “It goes so many places. It sounds like being in the ocean, relaxing, calm, floating and just like there and comfortable in your thoughts, and that’s how the record ends, which is so awesome.”
The eight-minute song also features an appearance from a woman presumed to be Mac’s grandmother talking about love, the theme that surrounds The Divine Feminine.
Celebrating the album’s release, Mac and Anderson .Paak appeared on “The Late Show with Stephen Colbert” last night to perform “Dang!”
