Fans, friends, and fellow celebrities are celebrating the beloved singer’s life today on the 15th anniversary of her tragic passing in a plane crash.

Frequent collaborator and longtime friend Missy Elliott shared a photo of herself in front of an Aaliyah mural. “15 years later to me feels like just yesterday,” she wrote. “I can still hear your laughter, I can clearly see us dancing in the studio me u @timbaland @ginuwine Magoo the whole clique we miss u so much there’s not a day u aren’t thought of!

Beyoncé remembered Aaliyah with a vintage video clip from the 2000 MTV Movie Awards where the two stars shared their love for D’Angelo.

“I want to see D’Angelo perform,” says Aaliyah. “Girl, I’m witcha,” Beyoncé replied. “‘Cause you know he fine.”
