Cash Money is back in the news for allegedly stiffing musicians.

Hot off Birdman’s Apple Music deal for his label documentary, the hip-hop mogul has been sued by “veteran songwriters” who claim they are owed $3.3 million, according to TMZ.

The unnamed artists say their “obscure tracks” were sampled on Lil Wayne’s “Certified” and “You” and that Cash Money hasn’t compensated them accordingly.

Interestingly enough, Weezy filed a $51 million lawsuit against Birdman for a similar reason. The Young Money boss claims the label shorted him, as well, but these aren’t isolated allegations.

In 2010, producer Bangladesh complained about the label’s financial dealings. Over the years, artists like Juvenile and Tyga have left Cash Money, citing payment as a major point of conflict.

The most recent case happened back in February when Cash Money was ordered to pay $1.1 million to Orange Factor Music over Jay Sean royalties.
