Frank Ocean has a fan in Adele.

Months after asking the reclusive singer to “come back” with new music, Adele is celebrating his return. During her eighth and final sold-out performance at the Staples Center in Los Angeles on Sunday night (Aug. 21), the British superstar praised Ocean’s long-awaited album Blonde.

“I actually prefer it to channel ORANGE,” she told the crowd. “Go listen to it. Go buy it. He’s amazing. He’s precious. We have to adore him.”

Like many fans, Adele also wondered aloud why Ocean chose to spell Blonde without the “e” on the album cover.

Fans caught wind of Adele’s praise and shared their excitement online. “Adele just shouted out Frank Ocean saying she loved Blond and was listening to it at 4am,” noted one concertgoer. “love heeeer.”

“Adele is going to spend her night going bowling, eating In-N-Out, getting drunk, and listening to Frank Ocean’s new album,” tweeted another fan.

Frank wasn’t at last night’s Adele show, but his mother, Katonya Breaux, was in attendance. She had her own kind words to share about the evening. “Adele was incredible,” she wrote on Instagram.

In November, Adele proved she was a big Ocean fan on “The Tonight Show.” “I don’t even know where he’s gone,” she said at the time, echoing the sentiments of many. “Come back.”

That’s precisely what Frank did this past week, coming back with a bang. On Thursday, he dropped his visual album Endless followed by his channel ORANGE sequel, Blonde.
