Drake’s Views continues its historic run.
The album earns its 12th non-consecutive week at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 with 85,000 equivalent album units in the week ending July 28.
By surpassing Taylor Swift’s 11 weeks at No. 1 with 1989, the 6 God earns the most weeks in the leadership position since 2014 when Frozen spent 13 weeks atop the chart. Discounting soundtracks, Views has the most weeks at No. 1 since Adele’s 24 weeks with her album 21 in 2011-2012.
As Billboard reports, only nine albums have spent 12 weeks or more at No. 1 in the last 25 years.
Following Drake is his “Back on Road” partner-in-rhyme Gucci Mane, who debuts at No. 2 with his first studio album in half a decade, Everybody Looking. Selling 68,000 units (43,000 traditional), the LP gives Guwop his highest ranking ever, beating his No. 4 placement in 2010 with The Appeal: Georgia’s Most Wanted.
Drake’s “Work” collaborator Rihanna also makes the top 5 this week with ANTI at No. 4, just behind Twenty One Pilots’ Blurryface. Meanwhile, the Epic AF compilation nabs the No. 5 slot.
Rounding out the top 10 are Sia’s This Is Acting (No. 6), Adele’s 25 (No. 7), the Hamilton soundtrack (No. 8), Beyoncé’s LEMONADE (No. 9), and Meghan Trainor’s Thank You (No. 10).
