YG goes from Compton to Tokyo in the video for “Word Is Bond.”
Joined by Slim 400, the Bompton spitter puts fans on a plane to Japan in the karaoke-inspired clip, which was filmed during YG’s trip to Tokyo to perform at the Public Labo Block Party. However, instead of the actual lyrics rolling across the screen, fans who don’t understand slang get a translation of sorts.
For example, this line: “Everybody know I’m rich / Everybody, everybody, everybody know I’m rich / Put the squad on my back / Google maps will tell yo ass where it’s at.”
Becomes this line: “Everyone knows I’m rich. I repeat, everyone in the world knows I’m rich and I support my friends. Google Maps will notify you as to my location.”
Expect even more videos from Still Brazy. After dropping a visual for the title track, YG was joined by Drake and Kamaiyah in the “Why You Always Hatin” clip.
