Give it up for the “Dopeman.”
Fresh off the release of “Young Man” with Chief Keef, Machine Gun Kelly delivers a d-boy anthem full of ferocious bars and rock guitars for The Land soundtrack.
“Dopeman” finds the Cleveland rapper reflecting on all that he’s gained over the years. “I got my slang from the dopeman,” he raps. “I always want to hang with the dopeman / I learned this game from the dopeman / Everybody give it up for the dopeman.”
In addition to providing the soundtrack, MGK stars as Slick in the film, which opens in limited release on Friday. The soundtrack arrives the same day featuring appearances from Kanye West, Pusha T, Fashawn, Stalley, Erykah Badu, and executive producer Nas.
