Ace Hood and Rick Ross are in “Go Mode.”
The Floridian duo teams up on a new slapper that allows them to get into “beast mode” over a high-powered beat.
Following last month’s “4th Quarter,” Ace uses this track to show his loyalty for Renzel by repurposing a famous Future line. “My ni**a Fat Boy don’t trust you,” he raps. “I’ma squeeze clips.” From there, Rozay follows up by rhyming about everything from the death of his friend in 1994 to making a Tupac reference.
Hood, who’s gearing up to drop StarVation, said he wanted to deliver something strong on this new banger. “Wrote this record from a show and prove perspective,” he told Complex. “‘Go Mode’ to me is the equivalent of being in beast mode, just going after whatever it is you want by any means necessary.”
Ace and Ross are frequent collaborators who’ve teamed up on a slew of tracks throughout the years, including “Bugatti,” “Out Here Grindin’,” and “I Ain’t Worried.”
