Lil Wayne gets religious on “Pray to the Lord,” an unearthed and remastered gem from producer StreetRunner.

“Pray to the Lord” is a reflective cut off 2012’s The Drought Is Over 3. Now, the fan favorite has been remastered and re-released.

“Bury me a gangsta ’cause that’s what I live,” rhymes Weezy. “Don’t cry for me I gave the best I could give / I can only do me, so that’s what I did / And I cherish every breath of my kid / And I don’t wanna go before she grow, that ain’t cool / But in this game of life, I don’t make the rules.”

StreetRunner has been releasing remixed versions of his Wayne collaborations recently, and he says “Pray to the Lord” helped inspire that.

“This was one of the main songs that made me want to mix and master these old Wayne leaked tracks I produced,” he explained via SoundCloud. “This classic had millions of views/listens online and it was the worst possible version anyone could ever hear of this song. Now I bring the fans the new crispy mixed and mastered version. Enjoy!”
