21 Savage is the latest XXL Freshman to deliver his customary freestyle.

Following Lil Uzi Vert, Desiigner, and Anderson .Paak, among others, Savage offers up his a cappella verse in a black-and-white video.

“Life ain’t been no walk through the park,” he raps in the clip. “Where do I start? Young ni**a selling rock and robbing just not to starve.”

21’s success comes only after a short period of time, according to the Decatur, Ga. spitter. He opened up about his rapid rise during a video profile for XXL.

“I’ve been rapping seriously for a year-and-a-half,” he said. “In 2015, I bought a Mac computer and a mic and all that stuff. Then, my little brothers had broke in somebody’s house and they had ended up finding a better mic and a better computer. So, I started recording music and that ended up being The Slaughter Tape.”
