Coming off his new single “Devastated,” Joey Bada$$ delivers fiery bars on Hot 97.

Joining Funkmaster Flex, the Pro Era spitter drops lines about channeling his higher self and having “no time for non-believers.”

“I make these rap airwaves so hard to breathe through,” he rhymes. “Took a student of the game just to come and teach you.”

Earlier this month, Bada$$ spoke with Rap-Up about the next phase of his career. “I’ve hit a ceiling,” he said. “And now the next ceiling is getting everybody down, getting everybody to understand what the message is, what the end goal is, what the dream is. A track like ‘Devastated’ really accomplishes that.”

During the interview, Joey also promised that his rhymes would never suffer. “People don’t ever gotta worry about lyrics with me,” he added, pointing to his “Sway in the Morning” freestyle. “There’s a lot more where that came from.”
