The Queen Bee is buzzing around VH1’s “Hip Hop Honors: All Hail the Queens.” Lil’ Kim has been announced as the final honoree for this year’s event.

She joins Queen Latifah, Salt-N-Pepa, and Missy Elliott, who will all be honored at the ceremony, which is slated to air live from New York on July 11 at 9 p.m. ET.

“Hip Hop Honors” is making its return this year after a lengthy hiatus. And 2016’s comeback will feature the all-female cast of rap legends. Originally launched in 2004, “Honors” has paid tribute to several acts in the past, including Salt-N-Pepa, Missy Elliott, and Tupac Shakur. In 2006, Kim appeared on the “Hip Hop Honors” stage to pay tribute to MC Lyte, who was celebrated that year.

Kim’s placement on this year’s lineup comes on the heels of a celebrated solo career with three consecutive platinum albums, Hard Core, The Notorious K.I.M. and La Bella Mafia. This year, she also dropped her latest mixtape, Lil’ Kim Season, which featured the Maino-assisted “Panda (Remix)” and her revamp of Drake’s “Summer Sixteen.”

Next, Kim is gearing up to hit the road with Puff Daddy & The Family on their “Bad Boy Family Reunion Tour,” which kicks off in August.
