Here’s a work of art. Fresh off the release of his new single “Boys & Girls” featuring Pia Mia, will.i.am takes fans to the world famous Louvre Museum in his latest video for “Mona Lisa Smile.”

The Black Eyed Peas frontman reunites with frequent collaborator Nicole Scherzinger, who hums the tune as Mona Lisa herself. Meanwhile, will recreates other works of art inside the Louvre, which is actually where he recorded part of the track.

“That song touches me because I recorded a large portion of that song inside the Louvre, next to Mona Lisa’s picture,” will told the Pursuitist.

“They let me go to the Louvre at 2 a.m. to record the guitars for that song,” he added. “I wanted to capture the ambiance of the Louvre, that Mona Lisa lives in. That was exciting, to walk through the Louvre at 2 a.m. with the manager.”

The song actually took five years to finish, according to will. But that’s not all. He also teamed up with the Louvre to unveil a new documentary through Dailymotion, which can be viewed below.
