BK stand up. On the 19th anniversary of the Notorious B.I.G.’s death, Maino salutes the King of New York on “I Did It for Brooklyn” featuring fellow Brooklynite Lil’ Kim. Maino goes hard for his hometown, shouting out Marcy Projects and Crown Heights, over the Don Corleon and Mad Cheetah-produced banger, while Kim storms the track—in a pink mink no less—and pays homage to her city and her late mentor.

“Big named me Queen Bee, he did it for Brooklyn,” she raps.

Just last month, Kim teamed up with Maino on a remix to Desiigner’s “Panda,” starred in Puff Daddy’s “Auction” video, and dropped her own Kevin Gates-assisted single “#Mine.” Next, she’s gearing up to release her long-awaited album.

“I’m in the studio every other day. Whenever I can find a break from the little one [daughter Royal Reign],” she told EW. “Honestly I’m just having fun making music right now.”

Listen to Kim and Maino put on for their city.
