From Kanye West to Future to Drake, Metro Boomin has worked with hip-hop’s biggest names, and now he’s expanding his portfolio with another superstar client—Kendrick Lamar.

During a recent interview with BBC Radio 1 (via Miss Info), the 22-year-old Atlanta producer confirmed that he has been in the lab with the Grammy-winning rapper.

“I met Kendrick and we were in the studio. He picked a bunch of beats out,” said Metro Boomin. “That was great. He’s a great guy, we vibed out for the day.”

K-Dot isn’t the only MC who’s been logging sessions with the “Jumpman” producer. He also announced that he has “been working on a bunch of stuff for Big Sean’s new album.”

These exciting announcements follow somber news last week. After Bankroll Fresh was shot and killed in Atlanta, Metro mourned the tragic loss of his friend on Instagram.

“They took my brother Fresh and I’m hurt right now,” he wrote. “very hurt. hurt is the only thing that’s been on my mind and heart since I was in magic last night. hurt was on my mind and heart when I woke up this morning. u always wanted to see ni**as do good and be good. u used to tell us that once you good then we good and that you would do things the right way and not like the rest of these ni**as. I’m hurt that this music shit has made everything so different and affected all of my personal relationships because of the high demand of work and the stress.”
