Add another talent to A$AP Rocky’s résumé. After revealing his gift as a rapper, actor, and an impersonator, Pretty Flacko is ready to take on his next endeavor—hosting MTV’s reimagined Woodie Awards.
The 12th annual show, dubbed “MTV Woodies/10 for 16,” will spotlight 10 rising artists and is slated to take place during South by Southwest (SXSW) in Austin, Texas.
“This is all about shedding light on the music of this generation, the love and bond between different artists,” Rocky told the AP. “We want to shed light at the Woodies on those who influences a lot of people and those who don’t get credit.”

Rocky, who won a Woodie in 2014 for “Wild for the Night,” feels right at home in his new role. “Acting is a little bit more nerve racking, because with hosting you can be your own personality. That’s my comfort zone being a music personality,” he said. “We are talking about music. This is what I do.”
“MTV Woodies/10 for 16” will air live on March 16 at 9 p.m. ET/PT. Performers and rising acts will be announced at a later date.
