Free Gucci Mane. The Brick Squad rapper, who’s been incarcerated since 2013 for a parole violation, could be released from prison earlier than expected.
TMZ reports that Guwop, real name Radric Davis, filed documents so that his time served could be counted from the moment he was transferred from a Georgia jail to a federal prison in December 2013.
A judge agreed that a clarification was necessary after Davis thought the Bureau of Prisons miscalculated his time served. Based on this, TMZ reports, that Gucci will be finished serving his 39 month sentence in March 2017.
However, Complex is now reporting that Gucci will be released from his high-security pen much sooner. According to an inmate database search, Davis is set to be released on September 20.

Upon his release, Gucci will likely be busy. He’s been a prolific rapper even behind bars, releasing a slew of projects at a rapid pace, including his most recent, East Atlanta Santa 2: The Night Guwop Stole X-Mas.
Producer Mike WiLL Made-It has plans for the rapper’s release, too. His next project, Ransom 2, is said to be dedicated to Mane. And while the feds reportedly banned Guwop from hosting that LP, Gucci is set to feature on Mike WiLL’s forthcoming Trap Tape.
