Three years since their Grammy-winning debut The Heist, Macklemore & Ryan Lewis have announced the follow-up, This Unruly Mess I’ve Made.
Macklemore revealed the title and Feb. 26 release date in an open letter and video to fans on Macklemore.com.
“Look at the mess. Not just the one we created, but the one that is the very fabric of our country,” he said. “The mess we’re all living in. Stop being silent. Even if it’s not perfect, or politically correct, you have to speak up and you have to listen.”
Last year, the Seattle duo released the hit single “Downtown” and the Ed Sheeran-assisted “Growing Up,” a tribute to Macklemore’s daughter Sloan. They also debuted the powerful track “Kevin” featuring Leon Bridges at the American Music Awards in November.
Earlier this month, they kicked off their tour, “An Evening with Macklemore & Ryan Lewis,” which travels throughout the U.S. through February before hitting Europe in March.
