Bring it on. Tinashe and Chris Brown are turning up the heat in the dance-heavy video for “Player,” which premiered in New York City’s Times Square. In the Emil Nava-directed clip, which takes place at a penthouse in downtown L.A., the R&B vixen faces off against other dancers in a virtual reality competition, but faces her toughest challenge when she meets Chris Brown.
“It takes place in a non-descriptive, futuristic type of location,” explained Tinashe. “I am battling different dancers in different genres of dance and kind of defeating them if you will.”
A shirtless Breezy shows off his fancy footwork and gets up close and personal with his sexy co-star. “She’s a talented young lady. I’ve grown quite fond of her,” he said of Tinashe, who returned the compliment.
“Chris Brown is an exceptionally talented entertainer, so I think it was somebody that I was definitely excited to collaborate with,” she said.
“Player” is the first single off Tinashe’s upcoming sophomore album Joyride. In addition to Chris, she has collaborated with Max Martin, Dr. Luke, Hit-Boy, Travi$ Scott, Nic Nac, Dev Hynes, and Young Thug.
