Is Adele getting ready to launch her comeback? During a broadcast of “The X Factor” in the U.K. on Sunday, a 30-second commercial aired featuring a new song sung by a familiar voice.
“Hello, it’s me / I was wondering if after all these years you’d like to meet / To go over / Everything / They say that time’s supposed to heal ya / But I ain’t done much healing,” sings the British powerhouse.
According to HITS Daily Double, Adele’s long-awaited album 25 is slated to arrive on Nov. 20, with the first single to premiere in the first or second week of November.
The follow-up to 2011’s juggernaut 21, which won six Grammys and sold 30 million copies worldwide, will reportedly include production from Danger Mouse, Max Martin, Tobias Jesso Jr., and OneRepublic’s Ryan Tedder.
Around the time the clip aired, the OneRepublic Twitter account tweeted Adele’s name and a smiley face.
Aside from singing “Skyfall” for the 2012 James Bond film, Adele has been absent from the music scene in recent years. Fans have been patiently awaiting her third album, and by the looks of it, it won’t be much longer.
