The Game is putting the finishing touches on his album The Documentary 2, but he won’t be done until Dr. Dre says it’s a wrap. The Compton rapper was in the studio with Dre recently, and shared footage of the rap legend behind the boards.
The Beats by Dre founder, who executive produced Game’s 2005 debut The Documentary, gave the album his blessing. “Dre said this is the best hip hop album in the last 5 years at least…… & we still here 10 years later…. It’s still AFTERMATH & ain’t nothing after that #TheDocumentary2,” said Game.

Game has also been in the studio with heavy-hitters including Kanye West, Timbaland, Swizz Beatz, Just Blaze, Scott Storch, DJ Mustard, and Keyshia Cole, who appears on the title track.
YG, Ty Dolla $ign, Eric Bellinger, and Busta Rhymes also stopped by the studio to hear Game’s latest work. “Busta said my shit better than The Documentary 1 & definitely the best hip hop album this year, last year & the year before……. I said give these niggas a chance….. N he laughed,” said Game.
Drake guests on the Cardo-produced single “100,” while Game’s fellow Compton native Kendrick Lamar also makes a cameo.
Look for the album later this year. “Comfortable knowing I’m almost at completion of #TheDocumentary2,” said Game. “I’ll let my REAL fans be the judge. We almost there baby.”
