Home is where the heart is. Sevyn Streeter journeys back to “4th Street” in her feel-good new video. The R&B songstress returns to Haines City, Fla., where she grew up as Amber Denise Streeter, and reunites with the people she loves most. She looks through old photos in her childhood bedroom with her mother and visits the local corner store before meeting up with her family and friends at a block party. She even pulls out the dress she wore as a child on “Showtime at the Apollo.”

“Out of all the songs on my album it’s the one closest to my heart!” said Sevyn. “Everyone has at least one person in their life that doesn’t want anything from you, they just wanna make sure you good! They’re the ones who make all the assholes we encounter irrelevant! #4thStreet is the street I was raised on, the people in the video are the ones who grew up there with me & the ones I name at the end of the song are the angels who had a hand in molding my life! #4thStreet people are just ‘good ass people!'”

Sevyn’s debut album On the Verge is due this year featuring the Chris Brown-assisted single “Don’t Kill the fun,” “Fallen” with Ty Dolla $ign, and a duet with August Alsina called “Been a Minute.”

“The album is like my baby that I’ve been holding for nine months and I’m ready to just release it to the world,” Sevyn told Rap-Up TV.

Sevyn has also shared the original footage of herself on “Showtime at the Apollo” when she performed “My Funny Valentine.”
