Yeezus is coming to Glastonbury. Kanye West has headlined U.S. festivals including Coachella and Bonnaroo, and now he will head to England for Glastonbury this summer.
The hip-hop megastar will play the Pyramid Stage on Saturday night during the five-day music event, billed as the largest green-field music and performing arts festival in the world.
“EXCITED TO ANNOUNCE IM HEADLINING PYRAMID STAGE SATURDAY NIGHT @GLASTOFEST THIS YEAR,” tweeted ‘Ye, who is promoting his upcoming album So Help Me God.
He becomes the second hip-hop act ever to headline the festival following Jay Z’s controversial appearance in 2008. Previous headliners include Beyoncé, Coldplay, U2, Paul McCartney, and The Rolling Stones.
In addition to Kanye, the Foo Fighters will headline Friday and Lionel Richie and the Dalai Lama will appear on Sunday. The full 2015 lineup will be announced later this spring.
Before he heads to Glastonbury, ‘Ye will perform at SXSW in Austin this week.
Earlier today, he celebrated Kim Kardashian’s 30 million Twitter followers by posting some nude photos of his wife.
