Kanye West kicked off the new year with his Paul McCartney-assisted single “Only One,” but there’s more where that came from. The hip-hop icon and Beatles legend have recorded several tracks including one featuring Rihanna.
In an interview with Billboard, Ty Dolla $ign revealed that he is also featured on the superstar collaboration.
“Me, Rihanna, ‘Ye, and Paul [McCartney] got a song about to drop as well,” said Ty, who provides backing vocals on “Only One.”
According to the “Paranoid” hitmaker, the song will soon see the light of day. “It’s gonna drop soon. I heard they shot the video recently. I don’t know what the final title is, but I know it’s crazy so just be looking out for [it],” he said.
During his sessions with ‘Ye in Mexico last summer, they recorded eight other tracks. “[In] like 24 hours, [we recorded] seven songs or nine songs that day. I was like, ‘I’m here with Kanye, I’m not gonna waste my time.’ They really wanted me to stay for like a week, but I only had like two days, ’cause I was about to start the [Under the Influence of Music] tour,” he said.
Ty is also working on his debut album Free TC, which is set for a spring release. He has been in the studio with Kendrick Lamar, R. Kelly, Jagged Edge, YG, and Wiz Khalifa, and hopes to get Kanye onboard.
