While protestors march for Michael Brown and Eric Garner, Alicia Keys uses her voice as a call to action on the powerful piano ballad “We Gotta Pray.” The pregnant songstress, whose second child is due later this month, urges unity, peace, and love, while the accompanying video shows protestors holding up signs that read “Black Lives Matter” and quotes from Martin Luther King and Gandhi.
“We gotta pray, pray for the world tonight / We gotta save, somebody save somebody tonight,” she sings.
Just this week, Alicia celebrated the 11th anniversary of her sophomore album The Diary of Alicia Keys by re-releasing the Kanye West remix to “If I Ain’t Got You.”
