Does J. Cole have a big surprise in store for his fans? It appears as though the Roc Nation rapper is gearing up to release his third album next month.
As the Kanye To The forums point out (via Miss Info), Amazon has put up a pre-order page for a new album from Cole entitled 2014 Forest Hills Drive with a December 9 release date.

iTunes also teased the album in a header graphic, which has since been pulled. However, if you search the hip-hop page on an iPhone or tablet an image quickly flashes on screen before disappearing.

Some fans have dug even deeper and discovered that 2014 Forest Hills Drive is the address of Cole’s childhood home in Fayetteville, North Carolina. The house was purchased by Cole in June of this year for $121,000. KTT found a letter from the rapper greeting his new neighbors and inviting them to a listening session on November 29 and 30. There is also a photo of him being filmed in the living room, which matches the photo on the sales listing.
“If we’ve never met, I’m Jermaine, and I recently purchased 2014 Forest Hills Drive,” wrote Cole. “I grew up here with my brother and my mother, Kay.”

Miss Info also points out that a creative agency called The United Collective recently photographed Cole’s engineer Juro “Mez” Davis in the studio “finishing up the last few mixes for J. Cole’s 3rd studio album.” The post has since been deleted off Instagram.
While Cole has yet to address the reports, he has been in the studio recording the follow-up to 2013’s Born Sinner. He is also scheduled to perform at Power 106’s Cali Christmas in L.A. on December 5, four days before the rumored album release.
