Bed of Lies

After debuting the song at MTV EMA in Glasgow a week ago, Nicki Minaj quietly dropped the full version of her new single “Bed of Lies” on iTunes on Saturday night. On the Alex Da Kid and Kane Beatz-produced track, which features Skylar Grey, the leader of the Barbz puts her ex-boyfriend on blast.

“You could never make eye contact / Everything you got was based off of my contacts,” she spits, while reflecting on dark times in her relationship. “Couldn’t believe that I was home alone contemplating overdosin’, no more coastin’, no more toastin’ over oceans.”

Skylar wrote the song almost a year ago before Nicki decided to add her verses to it. “She kind of poured her heart out on the verses,” the singer-songwriter told Billboard. “I personally think as a fan it’s a nice contrast to her other singles on the record. You get to see another side of her.”

Following “Pills N Potions,” “Anaconda,” and “Only,” “Bed of Lies” is the fourth release from Nicki’s third album The Pinkprint, due December 15.
