Beyoncé and Solange

Solange has remained silent following the family drama that unfolded earlier in the week. But on Thursday, she returned to Instagram to post a #TBT photo of her and her big sis as children. Just the day before, Beyoncé showed her support for Solange by posting several pics of them together.

Meanwhile, the Standard Hotel in New York City says that it has identified and fired the person who leaked the video of Solange attacking Jay Z in the hotel’s elevator.

TMZ reportedly paid $250,000 for the surveillance tape after it was “shopped for five days to the highest bidder.”

“There are only a handful of people who’d have access to that tape,” a source told Page Six. “Once it was out, Jay Z’s people felt they couldn’t control it. They were reluctant to try and publicly fight this.”

While we may never know exactly what happened inside the elevator, several theories have been presented.

Page Six claims that Solange was “crazy drunk and out of it” when she attacked Jay Z and had been having family and career issues after being dropped by Roc Nation.

But People magazine tells a different story. “Jay said something inappropriate to Beyoncé and Solange, and she snapped,” says a source. “When they got in the elevator, it escalated quickly the way family tensions can. It got exceptionally heated the way family moments can.”

Despite the drama, the family appears to have moved on. Beyoncé and Jay Z were spotted at the Nets game earlier this week, while Solange is back home in New Orleans.
