Two R&B’s powerhouses are joining forces. Usher has enlisted Chris Brown for a collaboration on his upcoming album.
“The Voice” coach revealed the news during his appearance on “REVOLT Live” on Wednesday. While he didn’t disclose the title, the song is set to appear on Usher’s upcoming album.
“The song that we did together, I think it answers a lot of questions,” said Usher. “There’s a lot mystery I think about a lot of things and the reality is we all are human. And though we may all experience hardship, it’s in those times that people should really rally and remember why you fell in love with the artist, why you fell in love with the person.”
He has not spoken with Breezy since he went to jail. “Nah, actually we have not been able to talk, but when he first came out of rehab, there was a lot of conversation back and forth and he was in a really good place, good positive place,” he said.
Usher can also be seen making a cameo in Chris’ video for “Loyal.”
Earlier this week, Usher released “Good Kisser,” the first single off his upcoming eighth album, due in September.
He also recently cut a track with Ed Sheeran. The Skrillex-produced song may appear on Usher’s album. “It was one of those songs that, as soon as we finished it, we were jamming out listening to the rough mix of it and I’m in my head, thinking ‘I want this song,'” the British crooner told BBC Radio 1.
