Iggy Azalea is quickly becoming the go-to girl for features. After linking with Ariana Grande on her single “Problem,” the Aussie rapper has collaborated with Jennifer Lopez.
J.Lo revealed that Iggy will be featured on her upcoming album A.K.A., due June 17.
In an interview with Ryan Seacrest, Iggy dished on getting the call from the pop superstar.
“She actually only asked me about two weeks ago, so I didn’t have to keep the secret for too long,” said Iggy. “When I opened on tour for Beyoncé, I had to keep that under wraps for months, which really killed me. So this is a breeze.”
It was a dream come true for Iggy, who grew up admiring J.Lo. “I love her,” said Iggy. “I definitely used to sit in my bedroom as a young girl and lip-sync Jennifer Lopez songs, so it’s very cool to have a song with her on her album.”
Her mother was even more excited and posted an Instagram video of her singing along to Lopez’ “Jenny From the Block.”
Iggy has two singles in the top 5 this week. She is featured on Ariana’s “Problem,” which debuts at No. 3, while her own hit “Fancy” moves up to No. 4, making her the third female artist to place her first two Hot 100 hits in the top five simultaneously.
She will perform at KIIS FM’s Wango Tango in Carson, Calif. on Saturday.
