Days in the East

Drake drops his second song in two days. Following “Draft Day,” the Toronto MC comes through with “Days in the East,” which he previously debuted at his show in Birmingham (see “Call Me”). Drizzy slows things down for the ladies, singing over the PARTYNEXTDOOR and Noah “40” Shebib production.

“You can be the one to take control, call me over,” he emotes over the nearly six-minute track.

He recalls a visit to Erykah Badu’s house (“She made tea for me / We talked about love and what life could really be for me”) and even alludes to his relationship with Rihanna, who joined him on his European tour (“Wakin’ up in Amsterdam with the boy … You would probably kill another man for the boy”).
