‘Yonce is all over the charts like liquor. The singer’s Jay Z-assisted single “Drunk in Love” rises to No. 2 on the Billboard Hot 100 this week.
Following her opening performance at the Grammys, the song off her self-titled album jumps 13-2, due to an increase in streams and digital sales (via Billboard). She also earns her seventh No. 1 on the Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart.
“Drunk in Love” gives Bey her 15th top 10 and first since Lady Gaga’s “Telephone,” which reached No. 3 in April 2010. It’s also her highest-charting song since “Single Ladies (Put a Ring on It)” spent four weeks at No. 1 in December 2008.
The 32-year-old ties Connie Francis and Olivia Newton-John for seventh place among women with the most top 10s in the Hot 100’s 55-year history, surpassing P!nk, Donna Summer, and Taylor Swift.
Jay Z also extends his reign for the most Hot 100 top 10s among rappers with 21, 12 of those in a lead role.
“Drunk” is the couple’s fourth shared Hot 100 top 10 following “’03 Bonnie & Clyde,” “Crazy in Love,” and “Déjà Vu.”
Elsewhere on the chart, Katy Perry remains No. 1 with her Juicy J-assisted single “Dark Horse,” while Pitbull and Ke$ha’s “Timber” falls 2-3 and Jason Derulo’s “Talk Dirty” featuring 2 Chainz jumps 6-4.
Producer of the Year Pharrell bounds 11-8 with his Oscar-nominated single “Happy,” which becomes his seventh Hot 100 top 10 and second as a lead artist following 2003’s “Frontin’.”
