If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it. Jennifer Lopez is returning to familiar territory with her new single.
The pop diva has enlisted Pitbull for the RedOne-produced “Live It Up,” the first single off her upcoming album.
She and the Miami rapper previously topped the charts with her 2011 hit “On the Floor.” They collaborated the following year on “Dance Again” off J.Lo’s greatest hits album Dance Again… The Hits.
“Live It Up” will debut on Wednesday, May 8. She is also in talks to perform the song live on the “American Idol” finale on Thursday, May 16.
J.Lo has been in the studio with Future and Chris Brown working on her 10th album, which is slated for release this summer on Capitol Records.
The single announcement comes amidst rumors that “Idol” is looking to replace current judge Mariah Carey with former judge Lopez. However, a spokesperson for Fox denies the claims. “This is just another ridiculous ‘Idol’ judge rumor, likely started by talks of Jennifer performing on the finale,” a rep told “Access Hollywood.”
