You know you’ve made it when Stevie Wonder co-signs you. Young Money signee PJ Morton lands a coveted feature from the music icon on “Only One,” the first single off his upcoming debut, New Orleans. Wonder plays the harmonica and lends his vocals to the feel-good track, which the NOLA native describes as “Kanye meets Stevie.”
“Stevie is my biggest influence,” the Maroon 5 keyboardist told Billboard. “Out of anybody, Stevie’s really the one that I studied the most growing up in music, so we literally tried everything to get him on the song.”
The 10-track album, due May 14, also features an appearance from Busta Rhymes (“Never Get Over You”).
