Last October, French Montana and 50 Cent exchanged heated words on Twitter over comments made in an interview. But the Bad Boy rapper is chalking up their “beef” as simply entertainment.
“Me and him ain’t got no real problem,” French told Angie Martinez on Hot 97. “I had said something in an interview—he probably be looking for anything—and he read it and sent a tweet out and I sent a tweet back.”
50 unleashed his fury on the “Pop That” hitmaker. “French your Sh!t so weak you never had a song by your self fool. Ain’t nobody’s waiting to hear your verse. Girl,” he told him.
But French downplayed the severity of their feud. “It’s not a real problem. He never really did nothing crazy to me and I never did nothing crazy to him. It’s just entertainment,” he said, adding, “He already did his thing. Now it’s my turn. Let me eat.”
French has been in the studio with Scott Storch and Fat Joe working on his Bad Boy debut Excuse My French, which he plans to release in the next two months. He’s “90 percent” done with the album, which will be executive produced by Diddy and Rick Ross.
“I can’t stop working. Once you start and you get hot, I seen a lot of people lose their spot,” he said.
