Wiz Khalifa is flying high on the charts. The Taylor Gang leader’s second major-label album O.N.I.F.C. lands at No. 2 on the Billboard 200 this week.
Led by the singles “Work Hard, Play Hard” and “Remember You” featuring The Weeknd, O.N.I.F.C. sold 141,000 copies in its first week, according to Nielsen SoundScan. His Atlantic Records debut Rolling Papers entered at No. 2 in 2011 with sales of 197,000.
Wiz was outsold by another Taylor, Swift. America’s sweetheart returns to No. 1 with her platinum-selling album Red (167,000).
“Well it doesnt look like we landed #1 on billboard but with all the love, I feel like #1. This is just the start,” tweeted Wiz, who was nominated twice at the 55th Annual Grammy Awards. “I’ll wait till im bout 5 albums in to start complainin about other shit 🙂 You guys did great this week!!! #GoodJobTaylors.”
The second-biggest debut of the week comes from Ke$ha, whose latest album Warrior marches in at No. 6 with 85,000.
