Move over Rihanna. There’s a new boss on the charts. Bruno Mars tops the Billboard Hot 100 this week with his single “Locked Out of Heaven.”
“Heaven” displaces Rihannna’s “Diamonds,” which reigned at No. 1 for three weeks. The first single off Bruno’s sophomore album Unorthodox Jukebox rises 2-1 in its 10th week on the chart, becoming Bruno’s fourth Hot 100 No. 1 following “Just the Way You Are,” “Grenade,” and “Nothin’ on You,” his collaboration with B.o.B.
One of the song’s producers, Mark Ronson, celebrated the good news. “‘Locked Out of Heaven’ = my first Billboard #1. thank you, @BrunoMars, @ringzington @philsmeeze @JeffBhasker @FakeEmile Homer & Nick Mov,” he tweeted.
Unorthodox Jukebox is also off to a strong start. The album, which was released this week, currently holds the No. 1 spot on iTunes and is expected to debut atop the Billboard 200 next week with 140-160,000 copies sold.
