Alicia Keys burned up the airwaves on Monday by giving an intimate performance on “The Tom Joyner Morning Show.” Taking a seat at the red velvet piano, the R&B powerhouse performed her New York anthem “Empire State of Mind” and her new song “Not Even the King” off her upcoming album Girl on Fire.
She also sat down to discuss cutting her hair, motherhood, and Keep a Child Alive organization.
“After I had my son, I was officially a grown ass woman,” said Alicia, whose album is due November 27.
“There’s so many moments in this album where it’s extremely vulnerable,” she explained. “It’s brutually honest and emotional. It’s all those things that we all go through.”
