Cool & Dre have earned their hip-hop credentials by producing for Lil Wayne, Game, and Fat Joe, and now they explore new territory with their new artist K. Rose. The 19-year-old singer-songwriter, born Katrina Rose Booker-Tandy, is signed to the producers’ Epidemic Music label on Interscope Records and managed by Queen Latifah’s management company.
Born in Hialeah, Florida, the curly-haired blonde dances to her own beat in the video for her debut single “Sleep When I’m Dead,” which she wrote and produced with Steve Angello (Swedish House Mafia).
She wants to encourage others to never give up. “Everyone around you may tell you what you need to do with your life, but only you can write your own life story,” said K. Rose, who is currently recording her debut album.
