It was a G.O.O.D. day for students at Lincoln High School in Detroit when Big Sean showed up to take over as principal for the day. The hometown hero visited classrooms to speak to students about the importance of education as part of the Get Schooled campaign.
When he attended Cass Technical High School as a teen, Sean graduated with a 3.7 GPA and was offered a scholarship to Michigan State University.
“One of my New Year’s resolutions was to be more involved, especially in education,” Kanye West’s protégé told WXYZ. “So this was a perfect way to get involved with the school and it’s tight to see the kids so excited.”
Detroit’s own Royce Da 5’9” also made an appearance at Eminem’s alma mater to perform “Lighters” for the excited students.
