M.I.A. is making her mark in the literary world with a new book. The “Paper Planes” hitmaker will release an autobiographical monograph this fall.
The 192-page M.I.A. documents the career and one-of-a-kind style of the Grammy-nominated singer-rapper through 300 images and several unpublished testimonies. It is scheduled to arrive in hardcover via Rizzoli New York in October.
The controversial M.I.A., who recently sparred with CNN’s Anderson Cooper on Twitter, is also readying the follow-up to her 2010 album ///Y/, slated for a summer release. The project has already spawned the Danja-produced single “Bad Girls” and its acclaimed video, directed by Romain Gavras.
