Tyga

Tyga’s fans will have to wait until next year to get their hands on his album. The Young Money rapper has announced a new release date for Careless World: Rise of the Last King.

The 22-year-old MC explained why the album was pushed back from its late December date. “I had to push it back. I was supposed to drop December 20, but I’m actually pushing it to January 24 and I’m mad about it,” he told Mina SayWhat on SiriusXM Radio. “I know my fans are made about it, but the politics behind it is just so wack. You gotta have all the samples and all that stuff cleared and it takes time. I don’t want to rush it and it be a half-assed album. I want it to be right.”

Careless World has spawned the Chris Richardson-assisted single “Far Away,” “Still Got It” featuring Drake, and “Rack City,” which was released to iTunes earlier this month. It is also set to feature a collaboration with Nicki Minaj.

Tyga said the delay has nothing to do with his fellow YMCMB members releasing albums around the same time. “No, it’s really me because of getting stuff cleared,” he added. “I go for the impossible, so I’ll sample Michael Jackson or something. I’ll just do some wild shit because I really don’t think about all that extra stuff when I’m making music.”

In the meantime, Tyga has dropped a new mixtape #BitchImTheShit, which can be downloaded here.
