Mary J. Blige and Drake

Mary J. Blige has added another big name to the already star-studded lineup for her upcoming album. The Queen of Hip-Hop Soul holds court with Drake on her second single.

staging-rapup.kinsta.cloud attended an exclusive listening for Mary’s 10th studio album My Life II… The Journey Continues (Act I), which features appearances from Beyoncé, Nas, Rick Ross, Busta Rhymes, and the Young Money rapper, who guests on “Mr. Wrong.” Mary sings about falling for bad boys over the midtempo record produced by Jim Jonsin and Rico Love.

“Don’t it seem like I’m always there when it matters, but missing most of the other time, a terrible pattern,” raps Drizzy, while Mary sings, “Bad boys ain’t no good/ Good boys ain’t no fun.”

Rico Love explained the meaning behind the track, for which a video has already been shot. “It’s an extremely soulful song that expresses the true level of love that a woman can have for a man who simply is no good for her,” he said. “I wrote it because in many ways I am Mr. Wrong.”

The R&B songstress also teams with hitmaker Rodney “Darkchild” Jerkins for a dance floor-ready cover of Chaka Khan’s classic “Ain’t Nobody.”

My Life II… The Journey Continues (Act I) is due November 21 featuring the single “25/8.”
