Kim Kardashian was unsure of foraying into music, but thanks to The-Dream, she got the confidence boost she needed. On last night’s episode of “Kourtney & Kim Take New York,” the curvaceous reality star was seen meeting with the “Umbrella” hitmaker in the studio.
When she expressed concern over how people would perceive her as a singer, Dream assured her, “For me, this is what I do. I can’t have you being embarrassed ’cause that would reflect on me and I’d look like an idiot.”
Kim admitted that she had no experience singing and was doing this for fun. “I’m not Beyoncé, I’m not like Celine Dion, I’m well aware of that. I just wanna have fun, like I don’t want to make a fool of myself,” she said, asking the producer, “What if this is so bad we just won’t do anything with it?” to which he responded, “If it’s so bad, I’ma leak it.”
The result of their collaboration, “Jam (Turn It Up),” was released on iTunes last week. Fifty percent of proceeds benefit St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
